SILICAFILM 5000

Silicafilm 5000 is similar to Silicafilm with the exception that the newer material yields a thicker layer than Silicafilm does for the same spin speed. For example, at 3000 rpm, Silicafilm yields a film of pure SiO2 that is 2000 angstroms thick, while Silicafilm 5000 yields a film which is 4500 to 5000 angstroms thick. Silicafilm 5000 is handled in the same way as Silicafilm and the glass exhibits the physical characteristics of Silicafilm.
